As\u00ed lo resume <strong>M.Paz Pell\u00fas, farmac\u00e9utica experta en dermofarmacia y portavoz de Druni<\/strong>: \u201cSeg\u00fan la Autoridad Europea de Seguridad Alimentaria, una ingesta de hasta 400 mg de cafe\u00edna al d\u00eda es segura para la poblaci\u00f3n adulta general. No deber\u00edamos superar esta dosis\u201d. Porque la sensibilidad a la cafe\u00edna no es igual en todas las personas: hay quien puede tomarse varios caf\u00e9s sin notarlo demasiado y quien con una dosis peque\u00f1a ya siente nerviosismo, palpitaciones o dificultad para dormir. La farmac\u00e9utica M.Paz Pell\u00fas explica que, dentro de los l\u00edmites marcados por la EFSA, la cafe\u00edna \u201cpuede ayudar a mejorar la concentraci\u00f3n sin afectar al sue\u00f1o ni al equilibrio del organismo\u201d. Aun as\u00ed, la hora del d\u00eda importa. EFSA advierte de que la cafe\u00edna consumida cerca de la hora de acostarse puede alterar el sue\u00f1o en algunos adultos, incluso aunque el total diario no sea especialmente alto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"que-significa-consumo-moderado\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 significa consumo moderado?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuando hablamos de consumo moderado, solemos referirnos a una ingesta que se mantiene dentro de ese l\u00edmite de seguridad y que, adem\u00e1s, no desencadena s\u00edntomas. En la pr\u00e1ctica, suele equivaler a dos, tres o incluso cuatro caf\u00e9s al d\u00eda, dependiendo del tama\u00f1o de la taza y del tipo de preparaci\u00f3n. No es una cantidad cerrada, porque un caf\u00e9 filtrado, un espresso largo o una bebida energ\u00e9tica no aportan lo mismo. Pell\u00fas recuerda que una taza de caf\u00e9 suele aportar entre 80 y 100 mg; el t\u00e9 negro, unos 40 a 50 mg; el t\u00e9 verde, entre 20 y 40 mg; los refrescos de cola, unos 30 o 40 mg; y algunas bebidas energ\u00e9ticas pueden superar los 100 mg por lata. Pell\u00fas advierte de que estas bebidas \u201cno est\u00e1n recomendadas en menores\u201d y recuerda que, seg\u00fan EFSA, ni\u00f1os y adolescentes no deber\u00edan superar los 3 mg de cafe\u00edna por kilo de peso en una sola toma. M.Paz Pell\u00fas resume varias pistas claras: tomar m\u00e1s de cuatro tazas de caf\u00e9 al d\u00eda, notar tensi\u00f3n o inquietud incluso con poca cantidad, dormir peor o estar combinando cafe\u00edna con medicamentos o suplementos. La \u00faltima parte no es menor: Harvard se\u00f1ala que el caf\u00e9 puede interactuar con distintos f\u00e1rmacos al modificar su absorci\u00f3n o metabolismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"tomas-mas-de-4-tazas-de-cafe-por-dia\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tomas m\u00e1s de 4 tazas de caf\u00e9 por d\u00eda<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>No siempre significa que hayas superado el l\u00edmite, pero s\u00ed es una se\u00f1al para revisar cantidades, tama\u00f1o de taza y otras fuentes de cafe\u00edna. Cuatro caf\u00e9s pueden ser razonables o excesivos seg\u00fan c\u00f3mo sean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"incluso-una-pequena-cantidad-puede-hacer-que-te-sientas-tenso\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Incluso una peque\u00f1a cantidad puede hacer que te sientas tenso<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Si te ocurre, probablemente tu tolerancia es baja. En ese caso, tu \u201cdemasiado\u201d puede estar muy por debajo de la cifra est\u00e1ndar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"no-estas-durmiendo-lo-suficiente\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">No est\u00e1s durmiendo lo suficiente<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Dormir peor es uno de los signos m\u00e1s cl\u00e1sicos. La cafe\u00edna puede mantenerte alerta m\u00e1s tiempo del que crees, sobre todo si la tomas por la tarde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"estas-tomando-medicamentos-o-suplementos\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Est\u00e1s tomando medicamentos o suplementos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Si adem\u00e1s tomas suplementos estimulantes o ciertos medicamentos, conviene vigilar m\u00e1s. Los NIH a\u00f1aden que, en grandes cantidades, la cafe\u00edna puede elevar la frecuencia cardiaca y la presi\u00f3n arterial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"cafe-y-salud-cardiometabolica\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caf\u00e9 y salud cardiometab\u00f3lica<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La parte interesante es que el caf\u00e9 no encaja del todo en el discurso de \u201ccuanto menos, mejor\u201d. La evidencia reciente sugiere que un consumo moderado se asocia con mejor perfil cardiometab\u00f3lico y menor riesgo de algunas enfermedades metab\u00f3licas, algo que la farmac\u00e9utica M.Paz Pell\u00fas relaciona tambi\u00e9n con sus compuestos antioxidantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"cafe-y-riesgo-de-hipertension\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caf\u00e9 y riesgo de hipertensi\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>M.Paz Pell\u00fas lo explica de forma muy clara: el caf\u00e9 puede elevar la presi\u00f3n arterial de manera puntual, sobre todo en personas no habituadas, pero en consumidores habituales ese efecto suele ser leve y transitorio. Las revisiones cient\u00edficas m\u00e1s recientes apuntan en la misma direcci\u00f3n: el consumo moderado y habitual no se asocia a un mayor riesgo de hipertensi\u00f3n a largo plazo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"beneficios-potenciales-del-consumo-moderado-de-cafe\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Beneficios potenciales del consumo moderado de caf\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tomado en cantidades adecuadas, el caf\u00e9 puede mejorar el estado de alerta, la concentraci\u00f3n y aportar compuestos antioxidantes. La clave, una vez m\u00e1s, no est\u00e1 en demonizarlo ni en idealizarlo, sino en conocer tu l\u00edmite real. Porque la cafe\u00edna m\u00e1xima diaria no es solo una cifra oficial, tambi\u00e9n es el punto a partir del cual tu cuerpo empieza a pedirte que bajes el ritmo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
